Born and raised in Kyneton, Bec grew up in Kyneton, right in the heart of the Macedon Ranges and has many fond memories of being involved with the community from a very young age.
When asked what she loves about the region Bec is adamant that the community focused environment is something she has not seen anywhere else. “It’s locals helping locals” says Bec “…and how could anyone not love living is such a beautiful area.”
Bec’s parents, Mark & Karran moved from Melbourne to Kyneton in the early 90’s so that they could be closer to family and provide their children with the type of lifestyle only the Macedon Ranges can offer.
After completing primary school at Tylden Primary, Bec then continued her education at Sacred Heart College before attending Bendigo Senior for VCE to focus on her passion for design. After completing VCE Bec was offered a place at Geelong at Deakin University where she completed a Bachelor of Visual Communication and Design before returning to Kyneton and commencing with the Simplex Insurance Solutions team.
After completing her initial Insurance Broking studies and solidifying her grass roots knowledge, Bec was afforded an opportunity to head to North Queensland to continue gaining experience in the Financial Services Industry but a love of the Simplex Insurance Solutions team and the Macedon Ranges area soon saw her willing to give up the sunshine to head home. In addition to her original studies, Bec has also completed a Diploma in Insurance Broking and is now teaming up with Georgie to look after all things great and small when it comes to Macedon Ranges Insurance needs.
